.My Love.

Quinn and I have been together for amost six years. We grew up on the same island and then moved to the same city, never knowing eachother till after things did not work out for either of us in Wilmington and we moved home from in 2006. He moved in with a friend of mine and when I went over there to hang out one night and we met. I definately would not say it was love at first sight but I did continue to go over to my friends house more often that I had in the past just to get some more time in with this guy. I had to make the first move and ask him for his number and then called him a few days later. Yeah, that's right, I made the first move because he was too shy to.

He invited me to come and spend 4th of July with him and one of our mutual friends on a yacht in Manteo. After driving all the way to Manteo on the 4th I could not get up with Quinn or our friend and had sworn I'd been stood up. After an hour or so we finally met up and had an amazing day on the waterfront followed by the best view of the fireworks and its all history from there ;).
We pretty much lived together from then on. Completely inseperable, which is odd because we are so incredibly different. He is the kind of person that has no problem sitting at home playing video games and watching movies whereas I love to go out and be the center of attention. The only thing I can say that we really have in common are our attitudes, so needless to say its never a dull moment around here. We have our ups and downs but all in all I love him and I think he is a great guy and he is an exceptional father to our Son.

.My Life.

"There is something different about people from the coast of Carolina. Its like we are our own race. We love things people that arent from here hate, like the salty water, the pluff mud, the sting of a sunburn, the sand. Our day starts with gasing the boat, loading the cooler with beer and heading for the water. We never see the sunrise but we watch it set from the harbor. Our blood is a mixture of salt water and beer. We love a good time, we love classic rock and Jimmy Buffett. We wear flip flops, even when its 40* outside. We live for shorts, tshirts, and that pair of costa's around our neck.We work hard all week, but we play that much harder on the weekends. We are devoted to our friends, the water, beer, and music. See thats the thing I have learned about being from the coast... I could never guess where life will take me, but I will never forget where I came from..."

.My Baby Boy.

Silas Jackson Andrus was born on April 18, 2009 at 8:42 AM and weighed 6 lbs 14 oz and 19 inches long.

SJ, as he is sometimes called, got his first tooth in November of 2009 at 7 months, took his first steps in December 2009 at 8 1/2 months old and started talking steadily throughout the summer of 2010.
some words he can say are: da-da, ma-ma, juice, shoes, and daisy (he calls all dogs daisy because his grandma's dogs name is daisy).

Now at almost three, SJ is in the potty training process, talking up a storm and being a typical little boy. He has a few identities, he sometimes thinks he is buzz lightyear and other times he is spiderman. He loves to play dress up and jump and play superhero.
