.Vampire Love.

Ok so I have jumped on the Twilight bandwagon and I must say its not as bad as I thought it was. I mean, yes, there are corny parts of the books when they get way to lovey dovey cause lets face it, no one and I do mean, NO ONE is THAT in love. I am currently halfway through the third book (there are four in all for those of you who do not know) and my crazy hormones are starting to flare up.

Now, let me backtrack first. When one is pregnant, one can expect to have crazy dreams due to the abnormal hormonal balance one is experiencing, but my dreams have gone to a whole 'nother level. I have had dreams about killing people, people killing me, traveling, and other weird stuff and most of the time my dreams take place in Manteo High School. I do not know why I continue to dream that I am still in high school, but I do. Of course this is not really a problem for me because I absolutely LOVED high school and had the time of my life and if I could go back and do it again, I totally would.

Ever since I have started reading these books, I keep having dreams about Edward (who, by the way is the main character in the books). These dreams are so weird because we are in MHS walking around and playing out the scenes in the books. Not that I am complaining because quite frankly these dreams are more entertaining then waking up in a sweat because I just dreamt I killed 5 people but still the same they are really weird. All I have to say is I am really glad I did not start reading a political book or something because who knows what kind of nightmares could come from that ;).

P.S. If you have not read this series yet, I would strongly suggest it. They are highly addictive books, so read at your own risk ;)

.Lil' Miss Do-It-Yourself'er.

So I totally love doing little projects around the house whether it be decorating or painting or whatever I can do. One day when I have my own house I can promise that it will be decorated to a T, till now I take what I can get.

Let me tell you the back story on my current project. A couple months back Quinn's mom found a good deal on a wooden crib and just went a head and bought it. Now, it's not exactly what I was picturing for my nursery but I was totally thankful for the gesture. I mean, having a kid and getting everything set up for the arrival is pretty dern expensive, FYI. So the more help the better.
Once we got it home I realized that this would be a fun and easy re-finishing project. I am proud to say that I am starting on the sanding and will soon be making my way to the painting and assembling of my kick ass new crib. I have gone through many ideas and think I have finally decided what I am going to do with it and how I will be decorating my nursery. Unfortunately, our house has wood paneling in the bedrooms which I can not stand so painting the walls is out of the picture. But you keep looking for updates and once I have the crib completely finished, I will be posting!!!

PS: Any decorating ideas you may have, throw 'em at me. I'm open to all ideas ;)

.25 Random Facts.

In lieu of me getting this bad boy up and running again, I figured that I would do one of these fun little blog posts titled 25 random things you did not know about me. Pretty much its just to kill time because I am procrastinating doing any work ;). Enjoy!

1. I am not originally from the Outer Banks. I am originally from Chesapeake but had a cottage in corova my whole life and then moved here in middle school.

2. I grew up with purebred Chow-Chow's, who for some reason have a bad rap as being vicious dogs but its all in how you raise them.

3. I attempted to go to college in Wilmington, NC where I must say I have some of the best memories of living with two of my best friends, BUT I had a little too much fun and moved home shortly after my arrival.

4. I have a serious obsession with Pepsi. Some people drink coffee every morning, I drink a Pepsi.

5. I wish that we would have gotten a Krispie Kreme instead of a Dunkin Donuts on the Outer Banks simply because they have way better donuts and I could eat Krispie Kreme donuts all day long.

6. I was never really sure that I wanted to have kids and then found out I was having one and I have yet to even have the child and people are already trying to plan baby number two!!! You must be out of your mind if you think I want to do this again anytime soon.

7. My whole life I have had a fear of horses. It's not like I have not tried to conquer it either. Every year at camp I looked forward to horse back riding but for some reason the horses just don't want me on them. I have been bucked off and time and time again I get the horse that wants to haul ass as soon as I get situated. Needless to say I just stick to feeding and petting them for now.

8. I started out being a straight liquor girl (Bacardi 151, all the way) and now I can barely stand the sight of hard liquor. It's beer all the way baby and you have no idea how badly I am craving a Heineken.

9. I swear I have a touch of OCD. I have to make the bed every morning, or it bugs the crap out of me all day. I clean every single day and everything has to be in its spot. If you knew my boyfriend and how messy he is you would understand how bad my OCD can get ;).

10. I love love love junk food and I must say that during my pregnancy I have controlled myself unbelievably. Healthy snacks all the way. Fruit and granola instead of ice cream and cookies. It's been hard but in the end it will be worth not having a bunch of weight to lose.

11. I pretty much hate myspace. Facebook is the way to go.

12. I can not stand how people let their cars get messy. It makes your car smell funky and once it gets too messy its impossible to get it back to being clean. I hate riding in cluttered, dirty cars. My car is always clean and I refuse to have it look like I live out of my car.

13. I am a closet penny pincher. I clip coupons like crazy and shop for sale items like its my job. You might think its funny but whats really funny is you spend more money on the same items I buy for half off ;).

14. I kickass at Sudoku and I am not ashamed of my nerdy gaming obsession. You see me knock out the Samurai Sudoku in the Washington Post every Sunday. Yeah that's right, be jealous ;).

15. I have a blind dog named Keller who is quite amazing at fetch. Yes, that's right, fetch.

16. I love milk. I go though almost a gallon a day.

17. I have a shopping problem. I have clothes in closet that I still have yet to ever wear. I just buy, buy, buy which I guess at this point is kinda dumb seeing as I can not fit into ANYTHING but I am obsessed with having cute clothes.

18. I am quite the BITCH if pushed to the point where it is necessary to show that side. I have no problem speaking my mind or whoppin' some ass ;).

19. I have an obsession with being tan. I can not be pale, if I start getting pasty I gross myself out and head straight to the tanning bed. I think everyone should be tan because it makes you look alot better when you are tan.

20. I hate the cold weather. I live at the beach for a reason, so when it drops below freezing I become miserable. Summer please hurry!!!

21. I have never broken a bone, had stitches or had to stay the night in a hospital. Needless to say I am not looking forward to the birthing process at all.

22. I maybe a brunette but man do I have some blond moments and when I do it is quite entertaining.

23. I am the nerdy one in my group of friends. They love to pick on me but its OK, I don't mind.

24. As hard as it is to believe, I really miss High School. I don't know about you, but I had a blast in High School and if I could do it again, I would.

25. If I had to pick one thing I detest the most about being pregnant, it would have to be these crazy, wacky dreams I have....no, no wait, these are not dreams they are full blown nightmares that cause to wake up with my heart racing and make it very hard to fall back asleep.

Now you know 25 Random Facts About Me, your turn!!
