Birthdays and Fights.
Ok so yes I am that ghetto that I steal my Internet from my neighbors, thus that explains the lack of entries lately. I finally got some signal and decided to give a howdy doody to my Internet friends. I have been so busy lately, you just don't even know. I feel like I never have a day off. Thankfully though I had off this past weekend to help my friend Ashley celebrate her 21st birthday. Wow, what an experience.
Saturday night we went out to Port o' Call and Chillis at midnight and on Sunday, her actual birthday, she had a nice little cook out shin dig at her parents house and then we proceeded to hit the bars up later. Well as we were drinking at her parents it dawned us that it was sunday and thus it was Rock and Bowl night so we got real stoked and headed there after Lucky 12. Let me just say that I have never been to Rock and Bowl and I had a BLAST. It was a giant Manteo High School reunion but it was OK because it was only people that I wanted to see.
But if I'm writing about it, then we call all conclude that it probably was bir all peaches-n-cream that night. At Lucky 12 my friend John and his fiance Maddy were there with some friends, we casually chatted and I said my goodbyes as I went out to get my car and bring it around front so everyone could get in but as I rounded the side of the building to reach the front all I see is a mobb of people being shoved out the door. Apparently some of the people I was with had beef with John and Maddy. Thinking it was all over and done with, we headed to the Bowling Alley. After being there for 20-30 min. in walks John and Maddy with their friends. Ok, whatever. They were at the other end of the place but every time they came anywhere near the people I was with my people proceeded to keep egging it on and talking shit. (Now when I say "my people" it is only for the purpose of the story, they really are not my people). You see, John's fiance is the manager of a local surf shop and a girl that was with us for Ashley's birthday apparently stole about $700 worth of stuff and for her jobs sake Maddy had to prosecute. To make an exteremly long story short a huge fight broke out and of course the wonderful cop force of the OBX show up and arrest people. My loud ass mouth almost got in trouble to for my infamous "Fuck the Police" remark. (Big shout out to Nags Head P.D.....I mean the wanna be NYPD). Opps, my bad. Haha ;). Well anyways everyone I was with got kicked out except for those of us that mingled and hid into the crowds so we didn't have to leave. It was a fun night but I must say that I was terribly embarrassed to be seen with the people involved or to claim that I knew them the rest of the night.
I tell you that story to tell you this. If you so choose to steal, do it a little less obviously. Do not take things from your work and then wear it to work where they will realize that you didn't buy it and how are you wearing it. Overall it was quite an experience I so choose not to go through again.

NY and No Smoking.
So we have DirectTv and our "local" (ABC,CBS,NBC...) channels in HD are based out of New York and so we always have all the ads for New York's stuff so some of it is pretty entertaing. The local commericals that are so low budget and trying to be cool are so funny and It seems that every single day somebody is shot in New York. This morning apparently a child was playing outside his house and got shot by the NYPD. Too much crime and drama in that place for me. But thats not the reason I am writing this, This morning as I was just watching Regis and Kelly in HD I saw an ad for "NY Quits" which is this quit smoking campaign for the state of New York. They provide a 1-800 number for people to call to see if they qualify for free nicotine patches and a whole kit to quit smoking. I think that is a pretty cool campaign. I mean, now if you live in New York you really have no reason to quit smoking. More states should do that because some people seriously get addicted to smoking.
I just don't get it though. I don't think cigarettes are addicting, but then again I rarely smoke, it's just more of a drunk thing ;)
P.S. They have got some HILARIOUS commercials for local companies up there. They are sooo cheeeessseeeeyyyyyyyy;)

Look Who's 21
So wow its been a hot minute since I have last written but I have my reasons of course. Last Sunday, July 27, was my birthday. Oh yeah, the big two-one. Not that it really made a difference, turing 21. I have been going to the bars down here since I was in high school and I can buy beer at every gas station without being carded so the whole turning 21 thing was not THAT exciting.
Me and the ladies laid out at Stephanie's house all day and then parted ways to get pretty with intention of meeting at my house at 7 but right as I was waiting on everyone to get here a limo pulls up to take us all out courtesy of my sister. It was nice :). Any who, went to Ocean Blvd. first, of course. I had a nice tini and some yummy cake. It was so much fun, the whole restaurant was singing to me when they lit the candles and brought my cake out. From there we took my parents home who came out with me for one drink and then headed to Lucky 12 which was a fun time. Now you have to understand that for some odd reason the whole Outer Banks was completely dead on my birthday so every bar really was just a "fun time" cause no one was out. By the time we got to chilli's I was feeling mighty nice and thought it would be bad ass to order a Tangerine Dream (the bartender's, Carter, signature drink for me) and right as I was enjoying that the boys from my work came out. This kid ordered me some blue shot that I have no decided was "the straw that broke the camels back." I could not even finish that shot it was so gross and that right there is pretty much the last thing I remember and then Quinn said he found me outside, beside Chilli peppers on the ground!!!! Which we would be fine minus the fact that I was wearing white jeans (which by the way were later washed with no luck of getting grass stains out, so if anyone knows some strange method of getting grass stains out of white pants, let me know). So he put me in the limo and we headed home but Stephanie's husband, Matt, was already in the limo passed out drunk and I have now been told that the two of us passed out foot-to-head and I have seen these pictures and let me let you know that two drunk people passed out on top of each other is really funny (will post later when I get them off Stephanie's camera).
Apparently, I told everyone at Chilli Pepper's to come to my house and text pretty much my whole phone because by the time we got from Chilli Peppers to our house which is pretty much across the street, people just started flocking to our house. Meanwhile, I am passed out in my bedroom trying to throw up and i NEVER did and all of a sudden after 30 minutes being out of commission, I sat up and was ready to go for round 2. When I came out of my bedroom into the living room there were like 20 people in my tini ass house, and I could not tell you who was even there. For the last week I have randomly run into people all over the beach who said that they were at some point in time on my birthday at my house.....so if you were there sorry I don't remember. HAHA!
Overall it was a very long but very fun 21st birthday. I still have not gone to the liquor store yet so I guess I may want to get on that. To check out pictures from the big day, click here :)
