.Corolla Wild Horse Tragedy.

So for as long as I can remember the Corolla Wild Horses have been apart of my life. My family has been involved with the Corolla Wild Horse Fund and when I was just a baby my family banded together and built a beach house down at the very end of Corova beach, just feet from the Virginia border. I have so many wonderful memories from that house and that beach. Of course now, just like every other part of the Outer Banks, Corova beach is slowing being built up by monstrosities houses.

When I would visit our beach house, nicknamed "The Hut" I would love waking up to the crazy rooster next door that did not just crow at dawn but ALL day long and then looking out the window and/or front door and seeing a horse or two. One summer, my grandfather was cutting the grass and felt a nudge/tap on his shoulder and assumed it was my grandmother and was astonished to turn around and see a wild horse standing there just saying Hey! These animals are amazing to me and as most of you may know I am not that big of a fan of horses anyways because they always tend to buck me off but for some reason these horses do not scare me at all. Anytime they see a camera it's like they stop what they are doing and pose so that you can get that perfect shot. There has never been a report of any Corolla Wild Horse attacking or harming any human or their property and so it brings me to the question, why would a human harm them?

The Corolla Wild Horses are not only endangered but are a treasured icon of the Corolla area of the Outer Banks. This Memorial Day Weekend some rich, prick asshole staying in Corova killed a beautiful stallion who went by the name Spec. He was featured in many of the posters and brochures for the Wild Horses. Sadly the asshole who killed this horse did not even have the guts to finish what they started. They hit his left hind leg and it was reported that it was hit with such force that it was snapped completely in two and the horse was euthanized at 2:30 p.m. on May 23rd. There were ATV tracks all around where the horse was originally seen on the beach at 6:43 a.m. It is possible that ATV’s were being used to chase the horse and then hit him. Residents reported hearing ATV’s tearing around at 1 and 2 a.m. With this information I can conclude that the people who hit this innocent creature were most likely WASTED and that is no excuse. I just can not fathom causing harm to any animal let alone hurting and then leaving it to suffer and die. This AMAZING horse drug himself up over the dunes over a mile from where he was first seen. I have no words to describe what the last few hours were like for Spec. He did not want to die and he fought and struggled long and hard, poor boy he must have been terrified! Back in 2007 someone shot one of the wild horses and there have been many, many other shootings and the shooter has never been found. Then in April of this year there was yet another hit and run where the horse was left to suffer. When the horse was found he was literally shaking from the effort of holding himself up...he knew if he went down he wouldn't be able to get back up again This is completely uncalled for. No animal should suffer needlessly.

FYI: Spec is the horse that is in the center of this picture.

If you have any information about these tragedies, there is a town meeting at the Corolla Firehouse at 5:30 PM today. Please CLICK HERE to join the fight in saving and protecting these beautiful creatures and if you are regular blogger, CLICK HERE to follow the Corolla Wild Horse Fund's blog.

.....FYI, I have been crying the whole time writing this not only cause I find this story so upsetting and repulsing but I am so pissed that some stupid tourist would do something so cruel. And then people wonder why the locals hate them so much when they come here...

.A Day at the OB Hospital.

I have always heard people say that once you have a child that your body gets all out of wack and you can get crazy sicknesses and weird stuff like that but I never thought anything would happen to me.My
Thursday morning I woke up and I felt like I had been hit by a Mac truck! I only had a slight temperature (99.1) so I took some Tylenol cold and flu because not only did I have the fever but my neck and back hurt and I had a killer migraine. I mean I was walking around the house in sunglasses it was that bad. Throughout the day everything kept getting worse and worse and that night when I went to bed my temperature had gone up to 101.5. That night Quinn quarantined me to the bedroom while he and Silas slept in the living room. That night I got no sleep and every time I woke up I was laying in a puddle of sweat, it was gross!
Yesterday morning when I woke up my temperature was 103.5 so I rushed to Regional Medical and they gave me a bag of fluids and called an ambulance to come and get me and take me to the hospital because they thought it was my appendix.
While on the way to the hospital some dumb fuck from New Jersery or something pulled out in front of the ambulance causing the driver to slam on breaks. I nearly thought I was going to go flying out the back of the ambulance.
Upon arrival at the wonderful Outer Banks Hospital ER the nurses began taking my vitals and this bitch of a nurse decides it would be a great idea to take my blood pressure on the arm that has an IV in it. That hurt so bad I am surprised that I did not hit this woman. I think my doctor had a lot of fun yesterday because from the time I got there at around 10:30 AM and the time his shift ended at 6:30 PM he order me for 3 different Cat scans, a MRI and took tube upon tube of blood. When he left they still had no diagnosis for me and my temperature was still rollercoastering up and down and the doctor that took over for him was an idiot in my opinion. Not only did that doctor barely come in to check on me she diagnosed me with a bacterial infection of my small and large intestines. I have to go see a specialist in Elizabeth City next week to have him further investigate the infection. That's all well and good but I just do not see how that would cause the tremendous back and neck pains and the migraines that I was having.
Now I understood that I could not nurse Silas for 24 hours because of the contrast dye that used for the MRI and the Cat scans but then they gave me a prescription for 15 days of antibiotics and I can not nurse that whole time so now it is looking like I am going to have to use formula. I know that eventually I would have had to have stopped breastfeeding but I did not want it to be at such a young age. So needless to say I am pretty pissed off about that!
When Quinn went to go pick up Silas from his parents house this morning, his mom's friend had meningitis a long time ago and said that all my symptoms point to that and the only test that the doctor did not run was a Lumbar tap to test for meningitis. The doctor kept saying to my mom that if it was his daughter he would not do that test unless he really really thought that's what it was but frankly I think he should have because that is probably what I have but I guess we will see. This morning when I woke up and took my temperature it was 102.1 and I was very nauseous and dizzy but I took my antibiotics and my wonderful Vicodins and I must say that I do feel a lot better. My temperature is at 98.1 and I am able to walk around and clean and do laundry. Other than the fact that I am profusely sweating I am happy and I hope that the medicine they gave me works and I get better soon because I HATE being sick.
So keep me in your thoughts and prayers and keep checking back for an update on how I am doing! :)

.A Month Already,

Wow!! My lil' man will be one month old on Monday! Time surely does fly. The day we brought him home, I went to go change his diaper. I mean, I would have thought he was done pooping but while changing my FIRST diaper he projectile pooped across the room and spraying a little on my face as it went zooming by. It was so gross. Two days later, Quinn was changing him and he pee'd across the room but lucky for Quinn he was able to dodge the stream. It's so funny when someone is holding him for the first time and he begins to make his poopy faces and they comment about him going to the bathroom and I always have to tell them, when and if he is going to go to the bathroom you will not only feel it but you will hear it! Yes, that's right my baby is a loud, very loud pooper and farter. It is amazing that something that loud can come out of something so small.

When we went for his two week check up, his doctor told us that by that check up they normally look for babies to be back at their birth weight (because babies tend to lose weight at first) but Silas was one whole pound over his birth weight at his appointment and not only that but he had grown 2 inches! But do not let this story fool you, he is still a small little baby. The majority of his newborn clothes are still a little big on him and he is wearing a lot of preemie stuff. Mostly because he is so tall and skinny. He is a lean, mean, eating machine!!! I feel like all I am ever doing either feeding him or pumping to have stored milk for when I go back to work! If you have not heard him eat, then you should.....it's hilarious!!! He is the loudest eater, he hums and grunts the WHOLE time. He will eat till he starts spitting up and then he goes to the bathroom and his little newborn diapers can never hold the river that he loads it up with so almost every outfit he wears gets pee'd on! oh how the laundry piles up.

His first bath was not fun! He hated it, though I do not that many babies that were keen on having their first bath either. I did not take pictures.....I know I am horrible and I keep forgetting to every other time I have given him a bath, BUT we did make a video of his first bath so when we finish editing that I will definitely post it! Now, Silas is obviously an adorable baby but what people can not tell from his pictures and most of the time holding him is that he has a MAJOR mullet going on!!! It's pretty funny :) You see he was born with quite a head of hair but now it is falling out where he is always laying on it but the long hair that's on the nape of his neck is not falling out but yet it is growing. It's so cute!!

With the weather going from warm to hot to cold to warm again lil' man has developed the sniffles so we have been having to use to booger sucker and he is not a big fan. His doctor recommended using some saline to flush his nose out and let him sleep in his swing or something slightly elevated rather than flat to drain and so far, so good. He still sneezes and has a few boogers but it's a lot better than it was!
Silas has only had one play date with his friend, Asa but there will be many more to come! Keep checking back for updates on my lil' man! :)

.Hello World.

Hello world. I am Silas Jackson Andrus. I was born on April 18, 2009 at 8:42 AM. I weighed 6 lbs 14 oz and was 19 inches long.

What a cute name, you say!? Well, thank you. Would you like to know more about it? Ok, here we go.

Silas? Pronounced, Si-Lus. Where did my parents come up with that name? Well, my mom was looking through names and ran across this and after doing some research to see where it originated from decided this was a perfect, strong name for me! Silas is a biblical character who was thrown in jail with Peter in the book of Acts for preaching the word of God. Shortly after being in jail an earthquake shook the land and the jail crumbled to the ground. To the guards surprise neither man ran with the rest of the inmates and so the guard asked what he had to do to be saved and the two men simply told him to believe in God. The guard then the prisoners to his own house where he gave them clean clothes to wear and cleaned up their wounds from being beat and thrown into the jail. Paul and Silas were very brave men and so that is how I came to be named Silas. And my middle name, Jackson, is in honor of my Great-Great-Uncle Jack Scanlan who was recently awarded the POW Medal from WWII. Mom was not a big fan of the name "Jack" so she proposed the name "Jackson" and that was that.

Below is a video that my daddy made! Check it out and keep checkin back for posts about...me :)

.Nursery.

As I had stated a while back I was re-finishing the crib that Quinn's mom had bought us. Although the project was finished months ago, I am just now posting the pictures of our completed nursery. Check em out ;)
I took the crib and sanded it down and after many, many deliberations in colors and stains I opted to go with a high gloss black paint and it is beautiful :)

I also chose the cutest nursery set. It is a cute contemporary piece. The sheets are earth tone polka dots, the bumper is stripes in the same colors as the polka dots and the blankies have a cute monkey head on them. The changing pad cover for the changing table we have is also matching, it has the same color polka dots and a green terry cloth stripe. :)
I also painted a dresser and bookshelf that I had the high gloss black and I got these adorable green and cream colored baskets for the bookshelf shelves. It's pretty dern cute, if I do say so myself ;)

My favorite nursery item. He may only be a couple days old but this rocking chair is already a saving grace!
Though all the other furniture is black this changing table is the most important piece of furniture. This was Alex's (Quinn's cousin) changing table. We love that we were given this to add to our nursery!

.Baby Shower.

Saturday, March 28, 2009 was my baby shower and I must say that it was a great turn out. You see, I am a complete control freak and like things a certain way, which is normally my way or no way. I made a 5 page outline of how I wanted my baby shower to go. This included what food I wanted and from where, the games we would play and of course decorations. I gave this to my amazing best friend Stephanie who did a fabulous job translating my ideas into the real thing, with the help of my mom and sister and Quinn's mom.

First of all, I must be a little cocky and say that my invitations were the cutest thing this side of the Mississippi. I had the idea that I wanted to make them look like tickets to a UNC Basketball game since I was having my shower during March Madness. Quinn being the talented artist that he is took my idea and created an adorable invitation for me!

Thankfully, UNC did win on Friday night or else Saturday's party would have sucked just a little bit since all of my decorations were Carolina blue and white. Quinn's mom got me an adorable basketball themed diaper cake and of course the food was to die for.....YUMMMM! :)
After food and games it was the best time of all, present time!!!! Thanks to mine and Quinn's amazing families and friends we got everything we could have asked for and more! Quinn's aunt gave us Alex's changing table and a stuffed animal that was hers as well, which coincidentally is a monkey which matches the whole nursery theme. I can't wait till he gets old enough and we can explain the importance of his monkey stuffed animal to him.

So I guess now all there is left to do is wait around for lil' dude to make his debut.

.Myspace Bulletins Are ANNOYING.

Personally, when Tom created Myspace I do not think he intended the bulletin portion to be used the way it is. Now, I rarely use my Myspace because I think it's retarded and would rather use Facebook but I can not stand when people blast all their personal information through bulletins. I mean surveys are one thing, and making announcements about things is another but bashing and blasting people is just retarded.
For example, at the beginning of last summer a "friend" of mine posted all these bulletins about her boyfriend cheating on her and making sure everyone on Myspace knew how big a piece of shit he was and that she was definitely not going back to him and blah, blah, blah. Needless to say she made a huge ass out of herself when a week or so later she was back with the douche bag. See if she would have just kept her thoughts to herself she would not look like such an idiot.
Now, I do find it very entertaining when people post all their personal business on Myspace for everyone to know about but at the same time I think it's pretty immature and stupid, especially if you are the one in the wrong and it just makes you look like an ass. The best is all the people I am friends with that are younger than me and still in high school or just starting college, cause they are a hoot with their bitchy bulletins. But when you are friends with someone and you get into a stupid fight over something as small as, oh I don't know, you got fired and then you post stupid bulletins with personal information about your so called friend. You know that one day you and your friend will most likely make up but, personally, if I were that friend I would never forgive you for blasting my personal business on Myspace for everyone to read. It's just an immature way to handle a situation that should be dealt with more discretely.
OK, this was pretty much just me venting about how annoying Myspace bulletins are. Sorry, but I just had to do it :).

.What An Expierence.

This morning I had a doctors appointment and I got my last set of ultra sound pictures (see below). Right now, Lil' Man weighs 5lbs 13oz with a projected birth weight of 7lbs 5oz. Not too shabby.

Now this is supposedly a picture of his head that they gave me because they say you can see his hair!? I don't see it but.....
The story of this blog is not the actual appointment, but rather the waiting room experience. When I first arrived this morning there was a guy on the front porch who opened the door for me saying ladies first and I said thanks and went on about my business. After I came out from my ultra sound and was waiting to go back to see the doctor this same guy comes over and sits two chairs down from me. He proceeds to ask me if I am married. Now I do wear my ring that Quinn got me for our anniversary on my ring finger but my dumbass tells the guy no. He then gets comfortable and starts trying to make small talk with me about how he only knew his wife for two weeks before he proposed but only did it because she was Russian and that they have been married for six years but they are now getting a divorce. Just my luck today is busy at the doctors office and there is quite a crowd in the waiting room and so all the ladies sitting around me start giving me this weird look like, do you know him and if not how strange?! I am thinking to myself, I am getting ready to POP and you are blatantly hitting on me!!!! Then he gets up to walk outside and we hear what we in the waiting room concluded was him throwing up. WHAT.A. WACK.JOB!!!!
So then as my hunk-of-burning-love exits the waiting room in walks this crazy lady on her cell phone. Oh wait, I forgot, she's on SPEAKERPHONE! She tells the person she is talking to be quiet cause she is in the office but of course that does not happen so then she is freaking out trying to figure out how to turn the speakerphone off. Now granted this is not some serious business call that she could not cut short, this is a casual conversation with a friend about a damn casserole she made. She could have just said, hey let me call you back when I get out of the doctors office, but no. She then goes up to the counter and stands there waiting for the girls to slide open the glass and ask her what she wants. As she is standing there, still on the phone, she is telling the other end that she is standing there and everything that the girls are doing behind the glass. Like they can not hear you!? It's glass, not cement you idiot. Finally they ask what she wants and she says she is just picking something up but they tell her its not ready and to have a seat. OH NO! She goes and sits down, still on the phone, only now she is going off about how slack this doctors office is and blah, blah, blah. Just as she is going off to her friend on the phone the nurse comes out to get someone from the waiting room and the crazy lady jumps up and starts to attempt a conversation with the nurse. She tries to compliment her on her hair and the nurse gives that look like, first of all who are you and second off I have not done anything to my hair. She asks the nurse if package is here to be picked up and the nurse, looking dumbfounded tells her to ask the front desk. Well this just will not do because apparently the crazy lady is above waiting and gets all attitudy! Once again the crowded waiting room of women all start to exchange glances as if to say, wow look at this fuit loop over here! Finally they get her out of there.
The moral of the story is do not use your cell phone in a doctors office or any other kind of office that is crowded and supposed to be quiet. It is so rude and annoying. Texting and emailing from your phone is one thing but chatting it up is aggravating to those around you.

.I Love Big Cats.

Ok, so ever since I can remember I have always wanted a BIG cat. I have this dream of one day owning a large piece of land and rescuing cubs and raising them to be released back into the wild or be put in a zoo or another kind of animal preservation program. I think that this would be the coolest thing in the world and I am not picky on the cat. I would take a lynx, jaguar, cheetah, tiger, lion....anything. I love them all. I know this is a far fetched dream, but hey you never know I could win the lottery or something ;).
Well a few months ago a friend forwarded me the link this video on youtube about a lion named Christian who was raised by two best friends in london during the 1960's and once he was to big for them to care for and was released into the wild and they went to go check up on him a year later, the lion remembered them!!! Now of course I bawled like a baby the first time I watched it.....ok, I lie, I still cry everytime I watch it. But today on the Today show they ran this story and had the two friends on the show promoting their new book about Christian and I lost it. I want this so bad and incase you have not seen the youtube video, here:
and this one actually tells the story but the quality sucks:

.A True War Hero. Part II.

So as I had stated last week, Quinn traveled to Kentucky to go accept a POW Medal for his Great Uncle John V. Scanlan, a P-51 Mustang fighter who was shot down by enemy fire on June 23, 1945. After more than 60 years, last Friday, February 27, 2009 Quinn and his family were finally given the closure that they had been seeking all these years.

Below are some pictures from the ceremony as well as links to Louisville news broadcasts.

This is the actual POW Medal that Quinn received in KY
Here is Quinn's family and him outside St. Xavier High School. The high school that Jack Scanlan graduated from in 1939.

.A True War Hero.

So this morning I dropped Quinn off at the airport for his trip to Louisville, Kentucky where he and other various family members are accepting an honorary medal on behalf of his Great-Uncle, 2nd Lieutenant John (Jack) V. Scanlan 47th FS, 15th FG who was shot down by the Japanese on June 23, 1945 during WWII.

Back in the days of WWII the Army did not bother with sending an Officer and a Chaplin to the family of a deceased soilder, rather they sent a telegram. Quinn’s Grandmother (his Great-Uncle Jack’s sister) and her family received a telegram from the War Department that simply stated, “The Secretary of War desires me to express his deepest regrets, that your son Lt. John Scanlan was killed June 23, 1945.”But that telegram actually confirming a death would not come so easily. At first, Jack’s family was simply told that his plane was shot down over mainland Japan. Quinn’s Grandmother (his Great-Uncle Jack’s sister) and her family wrote letters to the United States War Department for well over twenty-years requesting information about Jack’s death and demanding that his body be returned home to the United States. The United States played dumb for all these years in reference to the whereabouts of his remains and the acts that Jack went through once his plane went down.
After Jack graduated from St. Xavier High School and attended the University of Louisville he joined the Army Air Corps where he trained in Arizona and California before shipping out to the Pacific in April of 1944 where he became a dogfighter. His wingman was Lieutenant Bob Scamara and in a recent news article Lt. Scamara recalls the last minutes of Jack Scanlans life.

“It seemed like the whole Jap air force was after Jack and me. I couldn’t even look around and see if Jack was there I was so busy shooting…We two were certainly alone now, so we flew south, line abreast so we could watch each others tails. It wasn’t long before we were tapped again by the Zekes. They were really out to get us…”
“After I rolled out of a turn and could see Jack, it was too late. There were two Japs sneaking up his tail that he couldn’t see. Meanwhile, I was heading straight for him… yelling into the radio for him to do something. I figure maybe he was hit before and his radio was out. The Zekes opened up on him and hit him in the wings. He pulled up a little, his wings burning… He climbed a few hundred feet, rolled over and jumped
out.”
The badly wounded flier parachuted safely to the ground but was quickly captured by Japanese soldiers. While being interrogated by their officers, a mob of angry villagers gathered around the schoolhouse that was being used as a military headquarters. In time, the officers turned Scanlan over to the civilians. The villagers, many of which were woman, beat him savagely. They stabbed him with sharpened bamboo sticks. Soon, the young flier was dead. When his body was recovered, his head had been severed, most likely beheaded.

Tomorrow, 2nd Lieutenant John (Jack) V. Scanlan 47th FS, 15th FG is finally going to be given the recognition that he deserves as a true American War Hero, for if it was not for him, his wingman would not be here today. Once Quinn returns from Kentucky I will be posting additonal information, pictures and video from the ceremony that is taking place at St. Xavier High School, the high school in which Jack graduated from.

.Dog Fighting.

Everyone is giving poor little pit bulls bad raps these days and it's beginning to really aggravate me. First you have the lady whose two pit bulls killed the neighbors lab and had to be put down and now this! Like I do everyday at noon, I was watching the news today and heard a rather disturbing story right out of Gates County. Officials say that dogfighting is a growing problem in this area and they are doing everything they can to stop it! It's just too close to home.
The Gates County Sheriff found two dead dogs and four alive, but malnourished. These animals were being kept in small cages and were tied to heavy chains. They also seized 13 dogs under court order yesterday morning. Eleven pit bulls and two rottweilers, but the owner...no where to be found. A 15 pound chain was found on a 25 pound dog. The chain is used to make the dog's muscles stronger. To make matters worse the officers seized bottles of dog vitamins and steroids. Among other disturbing things confiscated from the crime scene include a goat horn that was used to pry open the locked jaws of two dogs and appears red due to dried blood also a wooden treadmill where the dogs would be placed with a dangling animal carcass in front of them and the dog would run on the mill to catch thus making them stronger and faster.
This morning the owner finally turned himself in and faces one felony count of Dogfighting, 13 misdemeanor counts of Animal Cruelty and three counts of Not Properly Disposing of Animal Carcases. When asked about the evidence found on his property he said he knew nothing about it! His bond is set $16,500, so I am pretty sure he is not going anywhere anytime soon, but STILL! Now let me explain to you the animal carcases part of his charges because this is the part the really pissed me off. This jackass had three burnt dog carcases in a bag that they found on his property that investigators are saying appears that the dogs who did not survive the fights were doused in gasoline and burnt!!!! Are you kidding me!?! How can you do that and sleep at night!?
The seized dogs are being kept at the Chowan County animal shelter and sadly many have scars, appear weak from malnutrition, and one appears to have a broken leg. Four of the dogs that were seized were considered aggressive and had to be euthanized. :(

.Bittersweet To Say The Least.

Me, being the wonderful cook that I am, watch Rachael Ray every morning. I just love her and her wonderful recipes, but today's show was pretty depressing.
She had a man on the show, Matt Logelin, who lost his wife during the birth of their daughter from a pulmonary embolism. How bittersweet? In order to keep his wife's memory alive for his daughter he started to use his wife's pregnancy blog as a way to communicate with family but within months, more than 40,000 people were reading it every day, and parenting tips began pouring in from strangers around the world. With the help of strangers, Matt was able to start a foundation in his wife's name where they have already raised several thousand dollars to help out other widows and widowers. What a heart warming story :)
....I have always had a fear that I would die whenever I had a baby so I really hope that nothing like this ever happens to me and Quinn.

.Doggy Day Care.

Below is a cute slideshow of all the pictures I collected from the past three days of doggy sitting Daisy and Keller. They are so dern cute. Enjoy!

.Doggy Day Care.

So today I officially felt what I believe I am looking forward to by being a mommy. It all started by being woken up at the crack of dawn by Keller, who is still recovering from his surgery he went through yesterday. He is freaking out because Quinn's dad had brought over their new pit-bull puppy Daisy for me to watch today. Both dogs are precious little angels while Quinn and his dad are here at the house but as soon as they leave, the dogs start playing and going nuts. Which is cool because I figure they will play and tire themselves out and sleep all day. Oh no, so wrong.

First, I am trying to get ready to go to the doctors this morning and I am tripping over two dogs playing and dog toys that have been dropped in various places throughout my house. Daisy then jumps up on our bed and waits for Keller to walk by and jumps on his back. I think this is cute so I let her keep doing it while I am straightening my hair, but as I go to make my bed before I leave the house I notice that little miss Daisy peed on my bed!!! So, I am already running late but I have to strip by bed down and take the sheets downstairs to wash them. Strike One.

After returning from the doctors, the dogs once again go nuts and play obnoxiously while I am trying to get some work done for the brochure businesses in the office. All of a sudden I smell shit. I searched the whole house and can not find the source of this stomach curdling smell. About 20 min later in the corner of the hall way by the front door I spot it. A little pile of poop, which of course comes from Daisy cause Keller could never have something that small come out of him. So I discipline her and go on trying to watch Marley and Me. Every time a dog barks or makes noises on the TV Keller barks or whines back, which is normally cute but today just is not the day. I feel like hell due to the on going morning sickness that I still experience 7 months into this dern pregnancy. Strike Two.

I start feeling better and know that if I get up and start cleaning I will feel 100% better. I don't know why I love to clean but I do. So, I get through the kitchen and one bathroom and I am on the second bathroom when I hear what sounds like a dam breaking loose in the hallway. As I come around the corner its Keller going to the bathroom. He unloaded what looked like a gallon of piss. Strike Three.

This is it, and I crack. I understand he is healing from surgery but this dog knows better then to pee in my house. I guess he did it to get back at Daisy for doing it. I don't know, dogs have weird minds. No sooner do I get that somewhat cleaned up but then Daisy pees right next to that spot. Now my normally fresh clean smelling house reeks of shit and piss. Needless to say, I had to run up to the store to go get some carpet cleaning stuff to get the god awful smell up.

So for now the house is back to normal but I am just waiting for one of these two dogs to do something else wrong, but while at the store I got them each a nice treat which seems to be keeping them occupied quite well. Good thinking;). All this makes me wonder how people can juggle twins, triplets, etc. Because after just one day with a puppy and a 2 year old dog, I have had enough so I can only imagine what a human is going to be like.....oh the joys to look forward to! ;)

.Vampire Love.

Ok so I have jumped on the Twilight bandwagon and I must say its not as bad as I thought it was. I mean, yes, there are corny parts of the books when they get way to lovey dovey cause lets face it, no one and I do mean, NO ONE is THAT in love. I am currently halfway through the third book (there are four in all for those of you who do not know) and my crazy hormones are starting to flare up.

Now, let me backtrack first. When one is pregnant, one can expect to have crazy dreams due to the abnormal hormonal balance one is experiencing, but my dreams have gone to a whole 'nother level. I have had dreams about killing people, people killing me, traveling, and other weird stuff and most of the time my dreams take place in Manteo High School. I do not know why I continue to dream that I am still in high school, but I do. Of course this is not really a problem for me because I absolutely LOVED high school and had the time of my life and if I could go back and do it again, I totally would.

Ever since I have started reading these books, I keep having dreams about Edward (who, by the way is the main character in the books). These dreams are so weird because we are in MHS walking around and playing out the scenes in the books. Not that I am complaining because quite frankly these dreams are more entertaining then waking up in a sweat because I just dreamt I killed 5 people but still the same they are really weird. All I have to say is I am really glad I did not start reading a political book or something because who knows what kind of nightmares could come from that ;).

P.S. If you have not read this series yet, I would strongly suggest it. They are highly addictive books, so read at your own risk ;)
