Why So Serious??

So Monday Quinker and I played hookie and went to Virginia. We went up to MacArthur Mall because he had never been there and had lunch at Johnny Rockets but I was kind of disappointed because they normally sing and dance in there while you are eating and they didn't do it, boo for them ;). We went up there to go drop off my bling at the jewelers so it can get sized, I am so stoked I get to pick it up on Friday.....hopefully. Originally I wanted to head over to the Virginia Beach Marine Science Museum so we could catch The Dark Knight at the IMAX theatre but you can't pre-order your tickets for IMAX so if we had driven all the way there and it had been sold out it would have been a waste of time so we just decided to go see it in regular theatres.

After dropping ridiculous amounts of money on tickets, sodas, hot dog, pop-corn and of course candy for my fatass we finally settled in to the theatre! I am telling you that this movie is one of the best movies....EVER! I am not just saying it's the best comic book movie, but it is a good movie across all genres of film. Christian Bale is super hott and Heath Ledger gives an amazing portrayal of the Joker and quite frankly if the rumors of him being so disturbed by his roll is what drove him to his unfortunate death, I can see why. Not to mention the introduction of Two-Face, which Aaron Eckhart was absolutely perfect for the role and I hope in the next installment they keep him as Two-Face. Also, in the last installment Katie Holmes played Rachel and for this movie they have one of my favorites Maggie Gyllenhaal playing Rachel and she is perfect, they need to bring her back too! The special effects are off the hook and I kind of wish I would have gone to see it in IMAX just for the special effects. One of the coolest parts is when they completely flip over an eighteen wheeler, its sick. The movie is ridiculously long (2.5 hours) but totally worth it, so if you are one of the losers that have not seen this movie I highly suggest you get your little (or big) booty to your nearest theatre and catch The Dark Knight.
